Mementos: Lost to Time
A downloadable game for Windows
Welcome to Mementos: Lost to Time, a nostalgic adventure where your childhood memories and imagination blend seamlessly into a broken world. Inspired by the timeless Legend of Zelda series, this game will feature an expansive overworld and up to five intricate, Zelda-style dungeons, each filled with puzzles and secrets waiting to be uncovered. Currently, a demonstration dungeon is being developed to showcase the potential of this ambitious project.
In Mementos: Lost to Time, your identity is deeply tied to objects and places from the past. You'll explore a decaying world where time has eroded the sense of purpose and meaning in every corner. By embodying your younger self, you can travel to a parallel version of the world where fragmented memories create a vivid picture of the past. Here, you'll collect mementos, piecing together both the world and your identity.
With every playthrough, the locations of key items shift, ensuring a fresh and unpredictable experience each time. Use the Clone Tool to duplicate objects and solve puzzles, wield the Zapper to fend off enemies from a distance, and harness the power of a giant magnet to manipulate metal objects.
Dive into a realm where childhood nostalgia meets challenging gameplay. Sneaky slimes and explosive rock monsters add a layer of danger, while a complex randomizer ensures no two adventures are the same. As you progress, you'll need to improve your skills and strategies to survive and thrive in this ever-changing landscape.
A playable prototype, featuring one fully-realized dungeon, is set to release by the end of summer 2024, showcasing the core mechanics and a glimpse into the vast world of Mementos: Lost to Time. Join the journey, rediscover your past, and help bring this heartfelt passion project to life.
